Nugget rings: common questions

Are nugget rings real gold?

Pure 24K gold is too soft for a ring worn every day, so jewelers mix it with other metals to make it hard enough. 14K means 14 parts gold out of 24. Solid means that alloy runs through the whole ring, unlike a plated ring, where the gold is only a thin layer over another metal. Ours are solid 14K gold or sterling silver, never plated.

Ours weigh from 3.7 g in solid 14K gold at US 10, and the heaviest design from 30.6 g, estimated from the 3D file we cast from. A larger size holds more metal, and each ring’s page gives the estimated weight at your size.

Ours cost $330 to $445 in sterling silver and $1,135 to $5,580 in solid 14K gold. Each design has one fixed price per metal, the same at every size, and it does not move with the gold price.

Both. All 49 designs are sold to everyone in the same US sizes, 4 to 15. The men’s page lists the 36 heaviest, over 10 g in 14K at US 10; the women’s page, all of them, lightest first.

What size nugget ring should I get?

Your usual size, measured on the finger you will wear it on. A wide nugget face can feel tighter than a thin band, so 36 of our 49 designs suggest half a size up on their page. We make US sizes 4 to 15, half sizes included.
