After you buy
Gold stays gold.
A ring should be worn, not watched. But it helps to know exactly what you own.
What is in your ring?
Every ring page shows the estimated weight of the ring in 14K at your size. 14K is 58.5% gold. Your order details identify the selected metal.
If you stop loving it
We can credit a ring you return toward new jewelry at its recovered metal value: metal weight in grams × purity × 80% × that day’s spot price of the pure metal (stones are not counted). Example: 10 g of 14K holds about 5.83 g of pure gold; the credit is the spot value of about 4.67 g. How long the credit lasts and whether it can pass to someone else are not set yet: ask us before you count on it.
What does a gold buyer pay for?
A gold buyer doesn’t pay for the design, the making or the story. They pay for purity and weight, and often less than the full value of the gold. More on purity in how to tell if a nugget ring is real.
Old money
People have traded gold for thousands of years. We can’t tell you what it will be worth tomorrow; nobody can. A ring’s resale price is uncertain. Gold content is only part of what a buyer considers.
Everything else to check before you buy is in the nugget ring buying guide.
