The River
Prospectors judged a piece of ground by how many colors it gave to the pan.
After washing, the bottom of the pan holds black sand and sometimes a few specks of yellow: the colors. Prospectors would say a piece of ground gave so many colors to the pan, and that was how ground was judged. Stack Band carries those small points of gold all the way round a slim band, with small nugget plates on the outside and a smooth inside.
