Gold & metals
Are your rings solid or hollow?
Solid. Our 14K gold and sterling silver rings are cast solid, with no hollow center or scooped-out back under the head. Vermeil is solid 925 sterling silver covered with a layer of 18K gold; it is not gold alloy throughout.
Compare the metalsWhy no 10K gold?
10K is 41.7% gold: less than half of the ring. We cast our gold rings in 14K, 58.5% gold, where gold is the majority and the yellow stays warm. If you want the look for less, our vermeil is the same ring in solid 925 sterling silver covered with 18K gold.
Why 14KIs vermeil the same as solid gold?
No. Our vermeil is solid 925 sterling silver, covered with a layer of 18K gold. The gold layer can wear with use.
Understand vermeilHow can I check that my ring is real?
Compare the metal and measured weight with your certificate. A stamp alone does not prove a metal’s composition; a qualified jeweler can assess it. Avoid scratch or acid tests at home.

Which ring sizes do you offer?
The ring configurator uses US sizes 4 through 15, including half sizes. Measure the finger you plan to wear the ring on before choosing.
Choose a ring and sizeHow should I find my size before ordering?
Have a jeweler measure the intended finger with a ring sizer. Bring the design’s width and fit note so you can try a comparable width; a thin band may feel different.
Find a design to compareHow exact is the size you make?
We follow the US ring size standard strictly. Each ring is cast to the exact inside diameter our size chart gives for the size you choose: 11.63 mm + 0.8128 mm × the US size. If you size from a ring you already own, check that its inside diameter matches the chart within ±0.1 mm. We make the size you order, so a size chosen in error is not a defect we can cover. After your order, we can resize the ring for a fee, quoted on request.
See the size chart and our sizing ruleShould I size up for a wide nugget ring?
Check the fit note on your chosen ring page. Some designs suggest considering half a size up because of their width. It is a guide, not a guarantee of fit, so check with a comparable ring sizer.
Check your ring’s fit noteIs the weight on the ring page exact?
The weight is estimated from the 3D file we cast from. A cast ring comes out 2 to 3% lighter than its file, and the range shown already includes this. Your price is fixed when you pay and is never adjusted to the weight; your certificate records the actual weight.
About the certificateOrdering & price
Can I order a ring now?
Not yet: orders open soon. Every ring page shows today’s price. Leave your email there and we’ll email you when orders open.
See the ringsWhy did the price change since my last visit?
Our 14K prices follow the gold price. Sterling silver and vermeil have a fixed price per design. Review the current total for your metal and engraving before paying.
How the price worksDoes a larger size cost more?
No. Each design has one price per metal, the same from the smallest to the largest size we make. The weight shown on the ring page still follows the size you pick, because a larger ring holds more metal.
See the ringsCan I add engraving?
The ring page offers optional inside engraving of up to 14 characters and shows the added charge. Check every letter, space and date before paying. If you spot a mistake afterward, reply to your order email: before casting starts, changing it is free. Engraved rings cannot be returned.
See engraving optionsCan I change my order after paying?
Before casting starts, changing the size or the engraving is free: reply to your order email. Changing the metal, or a change that needs a new casting once casting has started, means a new production cycle and is charged. We confirm the cost with you before doing anything.

Making and shipping questionsMaking & shipping
How long does a made-to-order ring take?
Each ring is cast in your size after you order: about 2 to 3 weeks at the workshop, then carrier transit. Free shipping in the US. If you need it by a specific date, ask us before paying.
Review your chosen ringWhat if my tracking has stopped updating?
Check the carrier’s latest scan, then reply to your order email with the tracking number and the date of the last update. We can review the shipment with you; a gap in scans alone does not establish that a parcel is lost.
Find your order detailsWhat should I do if the parcel arrives damaged?
Keep the packaging and take clear photos of the parcel and any damage to the ring. Reply to your order email with your order number and the photos so we can review what happened and the next step.
Before sending a ring backCan I order for delivery outside the United States?
Use only a delivery country offered at checkout. If your country is not listed, contact us before arranging an order; availability and delivery terms need to be checked first.

What is on my certificate of authenticity?
It records the design, line, metal, karat or fineness, actual cast weight, US size, engraving, order number and issue date. It is our order record, not an independent assay or appraisal. Once fulfillment is recorded, the PDF is available through your private order page.
Find your private order pageWhat does the Originals number mean?
Each Original receives a sequential number within its own design when fulfillment is recorded. The public registry shows how many have been made and the latest numbers for each design. Classics are not numbered.
See the Originals registryWhat can someone see when they scan my certificate?
The QR code opens a public record of the design, metal, measured weight, issue date and registry number, if applicable. It does not show your name, email, address, order number or engraving. Keep the order link private; the verification link is separate.
Explore the public registryWhat do the marks inside the ring mean?
A quality mark states metal fineness; the companion name or qualifying trademark identifies the responsible person. Neither is a US government approval. If a mark on your ring is unclear, send a sharp photo with your order number so we can check it against the workshop record.

How should I clean the textured surface?
Start by checking which metal you ordered. Ask for cleaning guidance for that finish before using a chemical cleaner, abrasive polish or an ultrasonic machine, especially on vermeil.
Check your metal and finishDoes sterling silver tarnish?
Yes. Sterling silver can darken as it reacts with sulfur compounds in the air. Store it dry and separately when you are not wearing it. Vermeil needs different care because polishing can wear its gold layer.
Read about sterling silverCan worn vermeil be replated?
Send your order number and photos of the worn areas so the workshop can assess the finish. Service availability, cost and timing need to be checked before you send the ring.

My ring does not fit. What should I do?
We cast the exact US size you chose, so a size chosen in error is not a defect. A catalog ring without engraving can be returned within 30 days of delivery, or we can resize it for a fee, quoted on request. Reply to your order email with your order number and the size you need.
Read our sizing ruleCan my nugget ring be resized?
Yes, after your order, for a fee quoted on request. Reply to your order email with your order number and the size you need; we confirm the fee before you send the ring.
Read the fit guidanceCan I return a made-to-order or engraved ring?
A catalog ring without engraving can be returned for a refund within 30 days of delivery. Engraved rings and rings modified at your request cannot be returned. You pay the return shipping, and a ring that does not come back in its original condition is refunded minus its loss in value. Customization does not remove rights for defects, misdescription or delayed shipment. To start a return, reply to your order email with your order number and the reason, and we will send the return instructions.
Returns in our terms of saleCan I trade in my ring or upgrade to gold?
Ask us to check the current program and your ring’s eligibility before planning a trade-in or upgrade. Any credit, conditions and shipping arrangements need to be confirmed for your ring first.
