The story

The Lode

At Bendigo, gold sat in saddle-shaped reefs at the crests of folded rock. A sculpted crest rises over the top of the ring and slopes gradually into its shoulders.

Under Bendigo, the rock is folded like a sheet, and the gold settled in saddle-shaped veins at the crest of each fold. Miners followed them fold after fold, to about 4,500 feet down. Where these saddles came to the surface and capped the hills, they had a local name, the crown formation. Crest is the ring of the arch: a sculpted crest that rises above the finger and slopes slowly down into the shoulders.

Shipping
Made to order: cast in your size after you order. Workshop time: about 2 to 3 weeks, then carrier transit. Free shipping in the US.
Changes
Before casting starts, changing the size or the engraving is free: reply to your order email. Changing the metal, or a change that needs a new casting once casting has started, means a new production cycle and is charged. We confirm the cost with you before doing anything.
Returns
A catalog ring without engraving can be returned for a refund within 30 days of delivery. Engraved rings and rings modified at your request cannot be returned. You pay the return shipping, and a ring that does not come back in its original condition is refunded minus its loss in value. Returns and resizing

The Lode

Lode gold is still in the rock, in veins, along faults, where it shows at the surface. These rings are mostly polished gold with one run of nugget relief through them, the way a vein crosses stone.

Our story

14K, vermeil or silver

14K keeps the warm yellow of our pictures, and its price follows the gold price. Vermeil is the same ring in sterling silver covered with 18K gold, and sterling silver is the same ring again. Sterling silver and vermeil have a fixed price per design.
